Vale Les Paul

My favouite Les Paul story is that after a car accident in 1948 his right arm was so badly crushed that there was talk of amputation. But a surgeon reconstructed the arm and put it in a cast at a 90-degree angle, pointing at Paul's navel.

He could never move it but he could hold a guitar. Again - greatness out of adversity.
